Episode #4 Jo Erickson – Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Family Constellation Therapy, and Near-Death Experience

Jo Erickson is an incredibly gifted teacher, life couch, and alternative therapist that I’ve personally learned a lot from over the years. Jo is an internationally trained NLP practitioner. If you’re not familiar with the term NLP is stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming and it’s a method that uses langue to reprogram some of the negative behaviors and thoughts patterns that have been ingrained into us over the chorus of our lives and may show up as depression, anxiety, phobias, and even physical illnesses that are brought on by mental stress.

She is also the lead director of the life learning center in Royal oak Michigan where she practices family constellation therapy. The concept behind family constellation is that every family has patterns that have been ingrained into that family over the chorus of generations and continue to play out over and over again. These patterns create roles that each new family member falls into. For example this may show up as the oldest child who tries to take care of everyone or the child who’s treated as the scape goat for everyone else’s frustrations. If you’ve ever felt like there’s a voice in your head that’s constantly critiquing every move you make or if you find yourself making choices that seem out of character for you but just seem to happen on autopilot these family patterns may have a lot to do with it. Family constellation suggests that that voice in your head doesn’t even belong to you but is sort of a collection other peoples thoughts opinion’s that gets past down to you through these family patterns.

Jo has gotten some really incredible results with both of these practices that you’ll have the chance to hear about in this episode. We learned a lot from this conversation and I hope you get as much out of it as we did.
