I’d best describe Katherine Vergin as a multi-talented renaissance woman. She is a musician, writer, professional make-up artist and is now currently in medical school studying to become a doctor after discovering a new-found passion for helping others through the medical field. Once you sit down and talk with Katherine you quickly realize that she’s an incredibly deep thinker and sort of a modern-day philosopher.
I’ve wanted to do a podcast with Katherine ever since I worked with her on a music video project a while back. The purpose of the video was to showcase four real people who have overcome fear in their lives and who didn’t let fear limit the possibility of what their lives could become. Katherine was one of the stories that we showcased. After filming the video, we shot a behind-the-scenes interview with her where she got to share some of her thoughts and experiences in her own words. Due to the format of that project we had to cut the interview videos down to around ten minutes, but we had recorded her for over an hour. Everyone involved in the video creation was uplifted and inspired by Katherine’s words and it left us wanting to know more. This podcast was our way of capturing the energy and impact that we felt while working with Katherine.
